John Johnson Jr.

John is currently taking a temporary leave of absence.

John Johnson Jr. joined the ARTZ Philadelphia Board in October 2022.

John resides in Wilmington, Delaware with his family. He has 25+ years with Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA). He is currently a Transportation Manager in the Metro-Rail Division. John received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Temple University and his master’s in Human Resource and Employment Relations from Penn State University. He volunteers with the Delaware Valley chapter of Project Management Institute (PMI) and Meals on Wheels as a delivery driver, and he is a Disaster Action Team member for the American Red Cross. John is a graduate of DiverseForce Leadership Development Program. He looks forward to utilizing the skills acquired from the program for the betterment of ARTZ Philadelphia.

“Being a part of ARTZ Philadelphia serves multiple purposes for me. First, I have an opportunity to learn and help someone hold onto a part of themselves that may be slipping away. Secondly, I will become a resource for my family, friends and colleagues who are transitioning to care partners to their parents and other family members. Lastly, I have the desire to become an advocate for the dementia community.”
