About the Event

Join us on Tuesday, April 29th at 10:00 am for an in-person Music in the Neighborhood program at Esperanza Health Center.

Join us for a special Music in the Neighborhood with Edgardo Cintron and Friends! Percussionist Edgardo Cintron is a second-generation Puerto Rican and a second generation musician. Known as much for his affable personality and generous spirit as for his tasty musicianship, Edgardo attributes his musical influences to his Father, Pablo, who played guitar in the U.S. military band and also with Charlie Parker, Stevie Wonder, Carlos Santana and Tito Puente. Edgardo has been playing since his youth and his unique flavor of Latin Jazz is sure to get you up and dancing!

Music in the Neighborhood is a monthly series of live performances in English and Spanish by musicians with deep roots in Philadelphia neighborhoods. Community members who participate in our ARTZ in the Neighborhood project drive the selection of musical genres and musicians.

“Music in the Neighborhood”  is generously sponsored by PECO Powering the Arts. It is a monthly program hosted by ARTZ Philadelphia, with various musical artists from the community performing in the Northwest and Hunting Park neighborhoods of Philadelphia and online, as a component of our “ARTZ in the Neighborhood” project.
