Jack Williams

Jack Williams and his wife Peggy attended our very first ARTZ @ The Museum program, in 2014. After having contributed many insights to the conversation, much to everyone’s surprise, Jack announced that he had never particularly enjoyed going to museums before (he would go along with Peggy, an art-lover, to make her happy, he said). This was the first time he had really taken time to articulate his thoughts about art and he was surprised to find how much he enjoyed it. Jack became the inspiration and standard-bearer for the stories of rediscovery, opportunity, and creative transformation that embody ARTZ Philadelphia at its best. He taught us that ARTZ Philadelphia isn’t really about capital-A Art, but rather about forging connections . This attitude undergirds everything that ARTZ does and we have Jack to thank for inspiring us.
